Why? 

The first thing that I wish to say is that your style and ability with pens and pencils and stories and the like is phenomenal.

It's simple, yet quirky and weird and fun, especially with all the unicorns in The Colors of Rainbow. 

The colors are interesting and pop through all the grey, lending a beauty all their own to your comics, yet managing to fit in just right with all the stories no matter how depressing. 

Don't get me started on the stories themselves. All I can say is that I love them. 

As a creator of worlds and images, I respect you greatly.

But that's not the only reason why I made this for you. 

You were the first person on Deviant Art who not just replied to my comments, but engaged in conversation. 

I remember that we talked about architecture, sunsets, character and story analysis, and it was your replies that I really looked forward to each week or so. 

You were also the first artist on this website that actually looked at my page and saw what I was doing, and that really touched me, especially since you pointed out what you liked about certain pieces which does a lot more than just saying that you liked a picture in general. 

Now I've wanted to draw something for you for a long time but didn't quite know what, till you announced The Metaphysics of Absence. 

I was overjoyed. Trying to publish a book is a massive endeavor after all, so my respect for you as an artist only grew. 

Fundraising has aways been hard, though, so I decided do make something to advertise a little for you, even though I don't really have a ton of people watching me or anything, but every little bit counts, yeah?

Inspiration and motivation struck at the same time, so this baby got drawn in a single night. Inking took longer, and scanning got put off for a long time due to missing scan drives, the end of a school semester, and procrastination.

However, it's finally online. 

It's my way of saying thank you for being both an inspiration and one of my few friends.
